Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which level of care is right for my loved one?
Our care team conducts a thorough, free assessment to understand physical, emotional, and social needs. We then recommend the most appropriate programme and explain the options in plain language — no pressure, no jargon.
What are your staffing ratios?
Day shifts: 1 nurse to every 8 residents. Night shifts: 1 nurse to every 12 residents, with senior carers on each unit. Our ratios consistently exceed national minimum standards.
Can residents bring their own furniture and personal items?
Absolutely — we encourage it. Personal belongings, photos, treasured furniture, and even pets (subject to a brief assessment) make our home truly feel like your loved one\’s own space.
What are the visiting hours?
There are no set visiting hours at Serene Haven. Family and friends are welcome at any time of day. We only ask that visits during the night are pre-arranged with the on-call nurse.
How is funding managed?
We accept Local Authority funding, NHS Continuing Healthcare, and private funding. Our admissions team will guide you through the financial assessment process and signpost additional support where available.
Not Sure Which Programme is Right?
Our team is happy to guide you through every option, completely free and without obligation.
